Hi, our names are Cameron and Andrew - and together we are Cyrus. All of us have a "Cyrus". It's something we love that lives just beyond our reach. No matter how far we stretch, or how hard we try, we can never get a hold of it. Oneday however, we realise why that is so... For every Cyrus there is a counterweight. The counterweight is also something that we love, something that has become a part of who we are and where we are going. The only way to reach your Cyrus is to lose your counterweight - to make a sacrifice. It took years for us to make our sacrifice to Cyrus, but having done so, we have learned, matured and become better for it. We hope that our music can give you the happiness you need to satisfy yourself and learn to reach for your own goals.

Back in 2006 the Candee Flip crew collaborated to start this special event at a time when old skool 90s was just a thing of the past. We get together only the best of Brisbane's pioneering DJs who showcase the cream of club and rave anthems from 1990 to 1999. .... ALL STRICTLY ON VINYL!!! The night is all about passionately embracing the old skool. You can expect to hear plenty of classic anthems and see plenty of familiar faces with an uplifting vibe that only the old skool can provide. To fans of psychedelic tech funk and heavy broken beats, HEDFLUX is a too familiar name. Long before he rose to the top of the breakbeat world by claiming the coveted "Best Track" title at the 2011 International Breakspoll Awards for "Mind Cell", Hedflux had been Integrating chunky tech-funk with refined psychedelia and converting masses to his distinct sounds. The seminal 2010 track "Mindcell" exemplifies the Hedflux sound. Spending 10 weeks at the top of the Beatport breaks chart, and becoming the 3rd top selling breaks track of the year. Along with the Breakspoll “Best Track” award, Hedflux also received nominations for “Best New Producer” and “Best New DJ”, with his Broken Robot Records label nominated for “Best Label” and “Best New Label”! For a genre that has been moving in great strides in a multitude of directions since its proclaimed "death", the Hedflux sound maybe the future of breaks!

Almost as if to try and throw his fans off the scent, Degiorgio has used As One, Elegy, Esoterik, Critical Phase, and Future/Past as recording aliases. In 1992 Degiorgio recorded his first release on B12 Records and shortly after founded the ART label (Applied Rythmic Technology) releasing early material by seminal artists such as Carl Craig, Aphex Twin, Stasis, and The Black Dog. Degiorgio went on to record material for ART, Planet E and R&S before signing As One to New Electronica for the albums Reflections and Celestial Soul, which both made the Muzik Top 30 albums for 1994/5. Further albums for Clear (UK), Mo Wax, Ubiquity, Versatile and Neroli cemented Kirk's reputation as a seriously heavyweight producer with a unique, individual sound, beautifully combining elements of jazz, soul, techno and funk into electronic tracks. For the past 3 years Kirk has focused on his mainstream pop band The Beauty Room whose debut album was released to critical acclaim in 2006 on the Peacefrog label. The follow up album - recorded in L.A. and London is due in the summer of 2009. Kirk's DJ career started at local breakdance events in 1983. He is credited with being the first 'professionally known' DJ to use Ableton Live for his DJ sets. A tour of Japan 2002 saw him use Live exclusively which he has now done ever since in venues worldwide.
