tnl presents. pseudo play-doh, tort tribe & peter b

On a week-long sabatical to Melbourne, Paul Young (who drums for
Brisbane's smooth funk/fusion/jazz groovers PseudoPlaydoh) made some new friends: Tort Tribe. These guys play nu raggae the old way -
heavily vibed & with plenty of soul. On their way up to Cairn's
RaggaeTown festival next month, Tort Tribe have been invited to join
PseudoPlaydoh, bringing their spiritualised sound at BarSoma on
Thursday 28th August. Local soulman Peter B (FAQ), with his
Ben-Haper-esque roots, completes the tribe. Don't miss this gig if you're into soulful sounds.

friday 29th august

therapy presents. kat cutler

This week Therapy stands up straight and pays attention as we take an audience with Brisbane's first lady of house music, Kat Cutler.
At the forefront of Brisbane's developing house movement, Kat brought a classic touch to the grinding deep house of the time. Kat introduced a deep and bumpy vibe to a select list of house rooms, including Uncle and Lounge at Family, Press Club, and Sundae. Recently Kat has returned from the US where her, and fellow house music aficianado, Mark Briais represented Brisbane at Sundae's home in Philadelphia.
Kat has an extensive dancefloor history and although a little reclusive these days, Therapy received an excited response to our call to come and share her passion with our people.
